Look Up.

You are one conversation away from changing what you notice.
Welcome to Miles to Zen.
I'm Shannon Miles Halliday, keynote speaker, podcast host, storyteller, and someone who believes curiosity has the power to change the way we see our work, our relationships, and our lives.
Whether you're planning a conference, looking for fresh inspiration, preserving a loved one's story, or simply curious about living a more meaningful life, I'm glad you're here.
Ways We Can Work Together
Inspiring audiences to see new possibilities, embrace curiosity, and discover that what they notice shapes what comes next.
Interactive experiences that strengthen creativity, connection, communication and presence for teams and organizations.
Every life is full of wonder. Most of it just hasn't been asked about yet.
Professionally guided legacy conversations that preserve the stories, wisdom and memories that matter most.
What I Believe
I believe curiosity changes what we notice, and what we notice changes what's possible.
I help people notice.
Through keynote speaking, interactive workshops, heartfelt Wonder Conversations, and the Miles to Zen Podcast, I create experiences that leave people thinking differently long after the conversation ends.
Because sometimes the smallest shift in perspective opens the biggest door.

About Shannon

Shannon is a farm girl at heart, an adventurer, a creative, and a dreamer who found her way into boardrooms and beyond. For over twenty years she held multiple leadership roles across clean energy, international trade, and government relations.
She has presented at the International Energy Agency in Paris, visited fuel cell labs in Japan and hydrogen fuelling stations in Iceland, and served on the governing body of Canada’s Global Energy Show. She was named one of the most inspiring female leaders in climate in Canada and holds an MBA from the University of Geneva.
She is the founder of Miles to Zen, a platform spanning speaking, workshops, legacy conversations, and podcasting. The podcast is now in its second season with more than 65 episodes, and guests have included Gay Hendricks, Dr. Eben Alexander, and Garry Ridge. Her work rests on one belief: joy isn’t the reward, it’s the whole point, and the soft skills have always been the hard skills.
She has a delightfully warped sense of humour, and she’ll stop the car for a highland cow without warning.
